I'm an Italian tutor with a deep love for language, culture, and connecting with people - and I'd be thrilled to help you on your own journey with Italian, whatever that looks like for you.

My Story

My path to teaching wasn't the "traditional" one. I actually studied Set Design at university, earning my bachelor's degree in the field. It might seem like an unusual background for a language teacher, but it shapes the way I approach lessons more than you'd expect: I think visually, I love building immersive learning experiences, and I'm always looking for creative ways to make a lesson memorable rather than just informative.

My teaching journey began at the Hamko School in the Czech Republic, where I got my start guiding students through their first steps in Italian. That was over 5 years ago, and since then I've taught hundreds of hours of lessons - online and in person - to a wonderfully varied group of students: curious kids, busy professionals, university students, and even retirees picking up a new language for the joy of it. Whether one-on-one or in small groups, each experience has taught me something new about how people learn best.

How I Teach

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach - every student has different goals, a different pace, and a different way of learning, so I build lessons around you. Depending on what you're looking for, we might work on:

• Structured lessons with grammar explanations and exercises, for a strong foundation
• Conversational practice, focused on getting you speaking naturally and with confidence
• A pace and style tailored to your level, goals, and preferences
• Exam preparation, if you're working toward an official language certification
• Playful, hands-on lessons for kids - think songs, games, and creative activities that keep them engaged (and having fun!)

Whether you're a total beginner, brushing up before a trip, or working toward fluency, I'll meet you where you are.

Beyond the Classroom

When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me with my hands in the soil - I love tending my garden - or in the kitchen making fresh pasta and other Italian classics from scratch (cooking is basically an extension of teaching Italian culture, in my opinion!). I'm also a bit of a hobbyist collector: painting, reading, sewing, and photography all have a place in my free time. Friends would describe me as cheerful, energetic, and always up for something new - and I try to bring that same warmth and enthusiasm into every lesson.
